Here is what this talented gal has to say about herself:

"A Keeper's Jackpot is an anagram using the nicknames of my husband, myself, and our two cats. I got into beading after my sister gave me a handmade beaded necklace as a gift a couple years ago. I've expanded my interests to wire wrapping, wire crochet, and polymer clay. My newest endeavor is decoupage, so look for some pendants in the future! It has become a hobby, and hopefully a way to make a little money on the side.

I am a medical technologist for my full-time job and I work in a hospital laboratory. When I'm not working or making jewelry, I really love to go hiking."

I love the way she came up with her name, and can't wait to see the new decoupage pendants that are on the way!

She also maintains a blog where she has some great Etsy tutorials and information on her own projects. Check it out HERE

Here are the current featured items in her shop.

AIRSitePad
Go~~~!!!

AIR Runtime

Download AIRSitePad

*Update*

Vlasnik domene : Croportal d.o.o.

Tip stranice : web 2.0 bookmark site

Hmm.. Ajde, 6/6

Project Wonderful is another ad service that bloggers can utilize easily. It is another “wonderful” widget that is easy to use, for the most part. I took an “un-monetized” spot of our blog, in-between our Topspots and Blogroll and turned it into a money maker.

Project Wonderful is a great resource to use if you are having trouble monetizing your blog. If you are can’t fill your banner space, put in project wonderful until you can find a more permanent sponsor. Better than an “advertise here” button. By just setting your widget for a couple of cents per day, you can easily earn several $ per month.

You can place the widget anywhere. We have the widget on our sidebar, but some websites like 365toFreedom put it in every post. The ad sizes you can have include, 117×30, 125×125, 234×60, 468×60, 728×90, and 160×600.

A plus to it is that you can use the money you’ve earned and advertise with it. You can find several cheaper advertising for only pennies per day.

Some Wonderful Tips

When you set up your ad box, make sure you select a minimum bid. If you don’t you will get flooded with advertisers bidding 0.00$ and you will be essentially advertising their site for free. This is a huge hassle having to reset your ad. You must delete it then make a new one.

Starting with less advertising boxes could cause your price to raise. It can only helpyou to have more competition! Our minimum price set with one ad has been 50 cents, but has gotten up to 2$+. Remember it’s cost per day, if we could keep up 2$ a day that’s an extra 60$ per month. With more ad boxes available, your advertising can be sold for less. Every blog is different, however this is just what has worked best for us.

I’m big on incentive, possibly give your advertisers a reason more to advertise, than just the banner. Everyone who advertises with BAYB, usually gets a nice big stumble. Our current advertiser, http://getsomecomputerhelp.com/ got a nice stumbleupon boost of a few 100 visitors.

Online advertising kind of sucks.

We'll be the first to admit it.

Fraud is rampant. Publishers and advertisers alike don't have a lot of control over which ads show up where. Ad networks don't tell you what their take is. Nobody is sure if they're getting a good deal.

Project Wonderful changes all that.

Project Wonderful reinvents online advertising. We've made click fraud impossible. We give advertisers the power to choose what sites their ads appear on - and publishers the freedom to choose what ads show up on their sites. We don't have absurdly high minimum-payout levels. We've made the entire online advertising experience transparent, trustworthy, and fair - as well as more profitable, for everyone involved! It's why our slogan is "Everybody wins."

Find out more.

The way we do advertising is different from what you might be familiar with, if you're coming from networks like Google AdSense. Project Wonderful uses an auction to get things done, but one where anyone can be the high bidder at any time. We call it the Infinite Auction. To find out more, read on to How the Infinite Auction works:

I had one last piece, an orange number eight, and it was my turn to place. I looked at my husband who gently nodded to my train of dominoes and I then knew that I could place my last piece. There it was, a double orange eight, at the top of the train… a place I had forgotten about and the spot I could lay down my last domino. I cheered, it was Laurie’s turn, and with that squeal the group had known they lost, I put my piece down and WON! I was proud, my friends cheered and my husband laughed as this was our 9th time playing, and I had finally won my first round of Mexican Train. We played a few more rounds after my first victory, but as the title states, “I won A game of Mexican Train” (I did joke with my girlfriends that I would be Blogging about this the next day and here I am).

I joked with those around me, that I am not a winner of games. I actually, pretty much, loose every game I play (accept this one time last week, I totally killed everyone in Bowling on the Wii, who knew). I am a super good sport about it because even it I try to engulf my competitive side, I still loose, and then I am grumpy. Yet, as I basked in the glory of my won win, I thought about the quote, “I try to make all my failures seem like small triumphs”.

I was researching different keywords on Google, for my company, and found that the words “online marketing, moms, work from home, home based business, small business” were very popular terms (with a million plus hits a day) and seemed to represent what our society is trying to achieve. Everyone wants to be that ONE company who WINS their turn on the World Wide Web by having their keywords placed #1 on the Google or any Search Engine (or SEO as those geeks like to call it). We still have to remember that maybe just having one of our keywords placed is just as great as having all of them. So play the game of SEO, but remember that your time will come when you are #1 in the Search Engines (and it might not last J).

So I didn't touch the lobster yet. I stitched up a bookmark for someone, it's slightly too large for my liking, but too late to fix it now. I hope she likes it.

I also started Sue Hillis' christmas ornament from the JCS ornament preview issue. I like it. I'm doing it on 18 count, with some variagated red/salmon color thread and so far so good. Fast going too.

But still, I SHOULD be finishing what I started already, right? I mean, come on, I have UFO's and WIP's piled up the wazoo. I was making such good progress on many of them. Now I get new things and have to start them too. There's no hope for me, I know this.

I'm back with another update of projects I made for a Craftster swap. The theme was tea time. I found some really cute tea time related charms at the crafts store and decided to make matching earrings and ribbon bookmarks.

The earrings were really simple, just a colored bead and then the charm. I ended up making five pairs:

I made the matching bookmarks from ribbon, and attached the charms and beads with wire. The ribbon I liked only came in the wired variety, so I had to pull those out before making the bookmark. I made four bookmarks (with a closeup of corresponding charm at end):

I also made a recipe book full of recipes involving tea. On every page I put a picture of a different interesting-looking teapot that I found online. There were ones shaped like turkeys, frogs, Conestoga wagons, ladybugs, and tons of other interesting shapes.

I also made a small tea wallet. It's basically a wallet with pockets the right size for teabags and sugar packets. There was even an elastic in the centerfold to hold stirrers!

And here's what the inside looked like! The orange rectangles were actually Post-It notes with labels for what flavor of tea was in the pocket, since I sent it with teabags already in the wallet.

Tip 1: Use Reagan National Airport if you can. It is only 7 minutes from the National Mall, and the taxi fare from the airport to the hotel was about $11, not including tip. The airport terminal is really nice, and surprisingly laid back.

Tip 2: Stay at a hotel that is as close to the Mall as you can get. We stayed at the Capitol Holiday Inn on "C" Street. It is only a block from the Air and Space Museum, and very close to the other Smithsonian Museums as well. Sure it costs more, but the convenience and time savings is worth it. The hotel itself was just adequate. At the hotel restaurant, be sure to steer clear of the Scampi. For a lite meal, the chicken soup was very good.

Tip 3: Be sure to write to your Congressperson and your 2 Senators, to let them know you are coming to town. They may be able to reserve tour times for you at places like the White House, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, the Capitol, the Supreme Court, the JFK Center for the Performing Arts, and the Library of Congress. As it turns out, Paulano does not have a lot of clout within the Beltway. He only scored a tour of the Capitol, given by Brianna, an Ellen Tauscher summer intern who was almost as new to DC as we were. The good news was that she related really well to my daughters, and the Capitol Tour was one of the highlights of the entire vacation for them.

Tip 4: Stay away from the shuttle services that continuously run a circuit around the museums and monuments near the National Mall. The Trolley we used was unorganized and overbooked. Every time a Trolley came by, the waiting mob made a wild dash for the Trolley door in hopes of getting on. The courteous, the slow and the unlucky were condemned to wait for the next bus, with no guarantee of getting on that one either. For the attractions that require transportation, such as the National Zoo, Arlington National Cemetery, Georgetown, and the Lincoln Memorial, a family of four can travel much more quickly and comfortably (and perhaps even more cheaply) by simply taking a taxi. Almost everyplace else you can walk to.

Tip 5: Due to large demand, some sites will only admit ticket holders. These sites include the Inside of the Washington Memorial, the Holocaust Museum, the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and the Supreme Court. The tickets are free, but the process of getting tickets typically involves a family member waking up early on the day you want to go, and standing line. It's not bad, really. At 6:00 AM, I was first in line at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving. Or second, if you count the homeless guy in the blue blazer who pretended to work for the Bureau. He kept me (and himself) entertained as he barked orders at unsuspecting newcomers to the line.

Tip 6: The Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History are open until 7:30 on most nights, so make those your last stops of the day. The National Archives are usually crowded, so make that the first stop of your day.

Tip 7: The Museum of American History and the Arts and Industries Museums are currently closed for renovation.

And finally, Tip 8: There is actually too much to see. Don't spend any more than 2 hours at any single museum, and no more than half an hour at any single monument. Obviously, try to organize each day to minimize walking and backtracking. Things I wanted to see but missed due to inexperience were the National Aquarium, the Crime and Punishment Museum, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, Mount Vernon, Monticello, and the elusive White House.

For me, the highlights were the Lincoln Memorial, the Afghanistan Artifact Exhibit at the National Art Gallery, and the National Zoo. The lowlights were the terrible, embarrassing condition of the National Mall, and the poor customer service skills of nearly every cashier we encountered . All things considered though, DC is a great place for a family vacation.

For patriotic gifts, and for items that make great easy-to-carry hostess gifts while you are traveling, go to Kyle Design online. All of the items pictured in this article can be purchased at Kyle Design, including Refrigerator Magnet Clips, Bookmarks, Money Clips, Business Card Cases and Stampboxes. Just click on the pictures.

It helps business when you have lots of siblings. Does that make sense? Maybe not... let me explain myself.

If you're starting up an invitation business and need people/events to make invitations, by ways of experimenting with different invitation designs and advertising yourself,...well,...its super convenient when you have siblings between the ages of 20 and 30. They are immediately cornered and forced (it's not like I had to get on my hands and knees and beg or anything,...) to allow me to make all invitations, for all celebratory events. Period.

It's as plain and simple as that. Tell your parents to make lots of babies and then you have immediate, readily available customers.

Simple. HA!

So,... anyway! I have been behind on my posting and meant to post these photos of my other brothers rehearsal dinner invitations that took place a few weeks ago.

Behn and Megan's colors for the wedding were green and the theme was very nature-y. Is nature-y a word? I think I just made it up!

Megan carried a bunch of wildflowers down the aisle. So pretty! And, the girls wore dresses that were white, with a green leaf pattern on them, so this hand drawn leafy pattern on the invitation seemed to match the wedding theme and color perfectly!

My mom also had me make bookmarks as favors.

This time, I sketched out my brother and Megan sitting on a pier, since the rehearsal dinner was at an Italian restaurant on the water, with a pier in the back.

I liked how they turned out and thought they were pretty cute...

Thanks siblings! I'm glad I have you!! Love you!

The thing with Firefox is that its our Loved Browser. IE may have the largest share, Opera may have some nice features, Maxthon may be hugely under rated but in a bunch of Internet/Computer enthusiasts its inevitable that Firefox makes its way into the conversation! One of the main reasons for this is the vast amount of customizations and productivity enhancements that Firefox has to offer.

Smart Keywords is one of them. Smart Keywords are an easy way to access, search and do more with your favorite websites right from the Location bar. Here is how to use them:

For Quick Searches

Say you want to Google (everybody does!), now the most obvious way would be to go to the search box, select Google as the search engine if its not already selected and then type in your query and press enter.

Now have a look at the "Smart Keyword Way" to search. Go to the location bar, write "g <space> <your query>" press enter and you have the search results. Which one is better? The thing is that you would have to associate "g" with Google once and then you can search right from the location bar. Not only this you can create search for any site that you want to search. Just right click on the search box and choose Add a Keyword for this Search... , type the keyword you want to associate with the site and that's it, from now on you can search the site using that keyword. So if you Google a lot you can create a "g" smart keyword to Google.

How to add a search

For Quick Access

Not only search you can easily associate keywords with any of your bookmark, so anything that you can bookmark you can access it easily through the location bar through a keyword. To add keywords to the search click Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks

Click on Organize Bookmarks

Click on the bookmark you want to associate a keyword with and then Click on the More button, now you can enter and customize the keywords.

Add a smart keyword

Bonus Tips

While using smart keywords you can get rid of the search box and thus have more space for location bar or toolbar buttons

Pressing Alt-Enter instead of Enter when you search or type in a URL opens the search or the site in a new tab, you can use this to open search results and bookmarks in a new tab while using smart keywords

Amazing how a simple picture can lift the spirits and let the mind wander even though reality is hanging out at home with all the kids off for summer break, LOL! Anyhow, ain't she a beauty?

Now that I am back from la la land, here's something noteworthy about this piece. The photo tile shown is a brand new size you'll see on the website really soon. It's a 15mm x 20mm vertical Mother of Pearl tile. Just a little bit bigger than the 13mm x 18mm we have right now, and that little bit makes a huge difference. Love it!
