Now, as soon as I arrived, I look into International Wota a bit, and found that lots of thing is going on and is coming soon. I didn't know where to start, so I'll just make some quick words about what is listed in my Nikki. First is Nacchi's latest photobook. She had just released it a couple of days ago, but unfortunately I still didn't know what is the title and plus, Hello!-Online and Wiki.ThePPN are somehow unaccessable. So I can't download it for now. Then on to Ongaku Gatas 3rd single. This is something I've been waiting for since I knew about the existence of this group. I'll make a review later.

On 10th of September, Berryz Kobo will be releasing their 5th album, entitled 5(Five) (what a title it is). I promised myself that this will be the first album I'll listen to. I mean, I haven't listen to all of the songs in one album. So, this will be my first, if I'm able to download it (of course, I couldn't afford to buy one). The Berryz will also have a Remix Version of Dschinghis Khan a week later. When I first heard about it, I really thought it will be as excellent as the original one. But when I think about it again, remix suppose to be sounding different. So... uhh... didn't want to hope much there... Then, some weeks later our beloved Morning Musume will be releasing their 37th single. I really gave a sigh of relief when reading it. Finally a new single from the Musumes. By the way, I'm still searching for their Cinderella Musical, as I haven't watched it yet. Sayu will be having a new photobook this year. To tell the truth, I'm not really thrilled about this, coz Sayu is kinda one of my least favourite member of Morning Musume.

Entering October, Nacchi returns again will her 11th single. I haven't heard any of her singles before, so this will be my first. However, judging from her success in Morning Musume, I think it will be a great single, hopefully. Next is another release from the Berryz (is this their blossoming season?). They have a new single waiting ont 22nd of October. Looking at Dschinghis Khan and Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance, I think they'll have something least better than both of 'em. I mean, Tsunku possibly is running out of idea (look at what he'd done to poor C-uttie, their single is too short!). Well, let's just hope I'm wrong. Then, Reinya will release her latest photobook. This one I'll be waiting. Just wanna watch some Reinya in cute attires, not the bikinis. Reinya is not suitable at all in those clothing. Yeah, I had caught a glimpse of those long ago.

As we enter November, the great Buono! is releasing their 5th single. I think its great that this group will continue to exist (of course, with all those achievement, its kinda impossible for H!P to disband them). But I'm kinda curious with the anime Shugo Chara. Will the story continues? Or will it be a new one?

Booting this platform is the most difficult part. I didn't try using PXE, because although I was once set up for PXE on my home network, I don't have the distributions (Kubuntu and Fedora) set up for installing from PXE and it seemed like a bigger headache than try to make it boot through USB. USB booting is not (apparently) enabled by default; it requires setting USB to use Legacy in the BIOS settings - and in my case, it also required playing with the setting for Quickboot: I had turned it off, but upon re-enabling it the system booted from a USB key.

I tried using Fedora 9, but the Live USB version come up in a lower resolution and crashed upon exiting. I tried also Kubuntu Hardy (8.04.1) and it worked beautifully.

Loading Kubuntu was a breeze - and recognized all of the capabilities of the laptop (amazing!). USB works, network works (albeit with proprietary drivers), PCMCIA works - it just works. Even hibernate works (although suspend may not).

I've never quite liked Ubuntu, and I mostly chalked that up to its standard themes (brown and orange) and its use of Gnome and so on - never fully experiencing Ubuntu and always wanting to get a better feel for it. I've tried running Kubuntu (which uses KDE) before, but never as an "active" desktop.

Kubuntu made a believer out of me. Everything works in the laptop. Even MP3s, Adobe Flash, Java - it all installed cleanly (upon demand) and works out of the box. Installation was extremely simple. The available packages are quite extensive, and include Debian's packages.

I attribute some of this ease of support (specifically, MP3 support, Flash, Java, proprietary drivers) to the fact that the company behind Ubuntu (Canonical) is not an American company, but a South African company - which has different laws. So they can make it easy to get proprietary "parts" that they could not sell or support otherwise.

I'm switching from my FreeBSD laptop to this one for the most part: this system is smaller, lighter, faster, and has more memory. It was good to build a FreeBSD desktop though - and took more doing than I thought. I wonder what PC-BSD would be like..... Hmm....

Случилось это как всегда неожиданно: вдруг перестал работать принтер. Бац и все. И сервис print spooler стал вываливаться ни с того ни с сего. Причем в самые неожиданные моменты. Даже при попытке заанинсталить принтер. Удалил вручную. Были установлены дрова с диска (full suite) и я решил скачать с сайта хьюлита чегонить по-новее. Нашел lj1018-HB-pnp-winxp2kv32-ru, поставил и все в точности повторилось. Эффекта никакого. Причем опять принтер невозможно удалить, а дрова заанинсталить по причине выпадения спулера печати. Опять почистил вручную и на этот раз решил не ставить хапэшные драйвера. Ткнул на авось “Искать в интернете” и на авось нашел :) Драйвера установились с сайта Microsoft и о, чудо, все заработало!

Мораль: не ставьте на SP3 драйвера для LJ1018 с сайта HP ;)

A maquina é boa C2D 2.0 4gb de ram, porém desde o inicio eu estava achando muito estranho que o HDD não parava, sempre que abria alguma coisa ou mesmo deixava executando uma mp3, o HDD comia solto. Por coincidência resolvi o problema quando executei a Limpeza de disco do Vista. Reparei só umas horas depois.

Depois de utilizar ele no meu trabalho, o desliguei, porem vi que já não hibernava mais, pesquisei e descobri que o disk cleanup remove o arquivo de hibernação (c:/hiberfil.sys), dessa forma também removendo essa característica.

para reabilitar o hibernar execute em linha de comando (cmd) o seguinte:

c:\> powercfg -h on

Após isso notei que o HDD retornou com todo o gás e descobri que que o vista possui o chamado "hybrid sleep" que na verdade fica o tempo todo jogando o que está na memória para o arquivo "c:/hiberfil.sys". Para desabilitar essa funcionalidade (que pode desgastar o HD) execute o comando:

c:\> powercfg -h off

De agora em diante irei sempre desligar o computador quando precisar transporta-lo.

Saya jadi teringat, pernah ada seorang guru yang waktu itu sedang bertugas menjaga anak didiknya mengerjakan soal ujian. Si guru mesam - mesem sendiri sembari memperhatikan sesuatu di dalam tasnya. Tentu, melihat tingkah laku gurunya seperti ini, si murid hampir bisa memastikan bahwa gurunya sedang ber-SMSan ria. Saking asyiknya, sang guru tidak sadar, bahwa ada salah satu murid yang saling berkirim jawaban kepada temannya dengan teknologi yang sama. Namun bayangkan jika hal yang sama terjadi pada 10 atau 15 tahun yang lalu, Pasti si murid akan mengira gurunya yang tercinta sedang dilanda tekanan batin yang mendalam dari konflik rumah tangganya.

Yah, teknologilah yang membuat hal yang dulunya aneh, menjadi tidak aneh lagi. 20 tahun yang lalu, orang merasa aneh ketika melihat komputer, bahkan mungkin suku pedalaman akan mengiranya sebuah kotak mistis tempat menghuninya para dewa - dewa. Namun sekarang, justru orang akan terlihat aneh jika tidak mengenal semuanya itu.

Sekarang orang sudah terbiasa menggunkan handphone, padahal 10 tahun yang lalu, handphone merupakan barang miliknya orang kaya, miliknya orang wah. Namun kini, dari tukang bakso, penjual mi keliling, penjaga warung sampai mahasiswa, hingga pejabat tinggi dan pengusaha, rata - rata memiliki handphone di saku celananya. Tapi masalah handphone type, merek dan isi pulsanya berapa itu sih urusan belakangan. :lol:

Setelah demam handphone dimana - mana, sekarang mulai menjangkit demam laptop. Sudah bukan barang baru lagi, (meskipun masih terkesan mewah bagi beberapa orang) jika kita jumpai orang menenteng atau memainkan laptopnya di sudut - sudut kampus ataupun di tempat -tempat yang menyediakan hotspot. Entah masalah gengsi, gaya-gayaan, atau bagian dari gaya hidup, saya sendiri ngga ngerti. Tapi, mungkin saja, beberapa tahun yang akan datang, laptop sudah menjadi bagian dari kebutuhan dari hidup ini, dan mungkin akan kita jumpai tiap orang, mulai dari SD sampai kakek -nenek sedang asyik berinternet ria dengan laptopnya di arena - arena hotspot.

Namun sayang sekali, dari kesemuanya itu saya prihatin, karena bangsa kita masih dalam taraf pemakai dan konsumen teknologi, belum ke taraf produsen dan pengembang dari teknologi. Seharusnya kita tidak berbangga diri dengan teknologi yang ada di depan kita, karena itu bukanlah milik kita, tapi milik orang lain yang dijual ke kita. Indonesia yang berpenduduk banyak ini merupakan pasar yang besar bagi negara - negara kecil di eropa dan jepang. Kita sebagai bangsa telah di cekok'i dengan pola pikir dan gaya hidup modern yang bermacam - macam dan aneh - aneh yang pada akhirnya hanya menghilangkan produktivitas kita sebagai bangsa.

Saya berharap itu semua tidak terjadi, dan jika memang telah terjadi, semoga segera berlalu...

Access Point ini yg menurut gw paling butuh fasilitas dari nokia ini... soalnya untuk Hp Nokia Series40 yaitu hp-hp nokia yg belum berbasis Symbian (Series60) tidak dapat langsung menggunakan aplikasi Java untuk terhubung ke internet, misalnya opera mini, ebuddy, dsb. Tidak seperti hp berbasis Symbian yg sudah built-in settingannya.

Nokia S40 Contohnya Nokia 5200,5300,5310,6300 DLL.

Nokia S60 Contohnya Nokia 3230,3650,6600,7650 DLL.

Di aplikasi nokia ini dimulai dengan Milih jenis HP (pastinya....), lalu pilih jenis settingan yg diperlukan (pilih internet buat access point, atau pilih gprs dan mms), trus pilih negara, trus perusahaan operator, trus tinggal isi No Hp kita dalem format +62 tentunya....

Walaupun layanan ini baru bisa buat Telkomsel,Indosat,Excelcom.... (Yah tp cukuplah buat mayoritas pengguna kayanya cuma 3 itu... Gyahahaha...)

Now, for solution providers on first blush this would look like channel conflict.  And if you are only doing transactional business with HP and counting on the margin to grow your business I would guess that you are not looking to make much money in the SMB market with HP this year.  But if your business is designed to allow you to source from anywhere and you are dedicated to representing HP product and you look to your services to generate revenue and profit - then this is good news for you.

How?  First review what you are paying for your HP products.  Why would you need to source through distribution for HP anymore?  You may find a more competitive price and easier financing terms through CDW.  There are no rules written in stone stating that on line retailers have to be your competitor, in fact the most successful solution providers use on line retailers as an alternative source for product.  Your customers are shopping based on price, why would you not do the same?  Second, I would look at the support HP will continue to give to the most loyal partners.  Support for these partners may grow as HP looks to reduce conflict and grow their sales.  Third, if you are already set up as a service oriented business just follow the bouncing ball.  The deal is for CDW to run an HP funded call center.  There is no in person service offering at this time.  The profitable solution providers will get out of the sourcing HP product all together and just pick up as many service opportunities as CDW fills product into.

There will be some confusion for a period of time, and like all things HP roles out there may be an adjustment period in which CDW/HP reps are selling into the accounts of solution providers.  After enough partners complain and raise their hands and HP will create another "hard deck" and perhaps a deal registration program that will protect the solution providers who have been loyal and grow their business with HP.

This is an easy equation for success for most.  HP wins.  CDW wins.  Dedicated and service oriented solution providers win.  End users win.  The clear losers in this deal are distribution and the transactional solution providers.  Well, IBM and Dell may loose a bit here too.

It used to be that Dell would start PC price wars just to gain market share and punish its competitors. Sure, profit margins would suffer a little, but Dell's efficient manufacturing operation ensured it could still make money while rivals bled.

No longer.

Just look at the numbers. Dell (DELL) stock tumbled as much as 10% after hours on Thursday, as investors chewed on the news that the Round Rock, Texas-based company's net income dropped 17 percent from a year ago. One big reason: Dell is slashing prices to compete with HP (HPQ) in the hearts and minds of consumers, and in overseas markets like EMEA (shorthand for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.)

HP, meanwhile, looks fine. A week ago it too reported shrinking profits in its PC business, but investors shrugged off the bad news because of strong growth in other areas. In a call with analysts, HP CEO Mark Hurd declared himself "pleased with the continued execution" in the PC group. HP's stock has been up slightly since.

The tough truth here for Dell investors: Swings in the volatile PC market now hurt Dell more than its chief rival, HP. And because of that, it still could be quite a while before Dell's stock price marches higher. Dell may need to continue sacrificing profits as it learns to abandon its direct-only model and work with retailers and resellers around the world. If so, there will be more quarters like this one.

For Wall Street, the profit miss is hard to swallow. After all, Michael Dell has been so darn upbeat lately. He bought $100 million worth of the company's stock last quarter, and when I sat down with him last month, he pointed to Dell's unit growth in PCs as evidence that a turnaround is taking hold. "We're kind of back to our old normal Dell, where for 21 years in a row we outgrew the industry – we're feeling the love come back," he told me.  "This is what we like. This is what we're used to."

Analysts embraced the vibe, and the stock had been trading at its highest levels of the year. Industry watchers I talk to have been pointing out that as Dell ships PCs into retail stores around the world for the first time, the company is bound to see a bump. Dell is practically guaranteed to pick up market share, noted IDC analyst Richard Shim in a recent chat, if only because it will be in front of buyers in places like Staples (SPLS) and Best Buy (BBY) where it never competed before.

But as last quarter's numbers show, market share isn't everything. Sure, Dell grew faster than the overall market (and faster than HP), partly because of its new focus on the consumer business. But while HP's consumer-heavy PC group recorded operating profits of $587 million, Dell said its consumer PC operations basically broke even. Yes, Dell's business would have been more profitable if not for an $18 million legal bill – but consumers are fueling much of the world's PC buying these days, and Dell clearly has work to do if it's going to profit from the trend.

What's next for Dell? Expect investors to retreat into a bunker mentality for the rest of the year. Michael Dell and other executives lately have been positive about the company's growth outlook for the second half of 2008, but Wall Street will want some assurance that the growth includes profits, not just PC shipments.

Complicating matters, Dell no longer offers detailed financial guidance – Michael Dell calls the earnings promises a trap that "caused us to, every turn of the crank, think a little bit more short-term until ultimately we sort drove ourselves off the cliff." That approach might help him plot the company's future, but don't expect it to do much for the stock.

Why would someone use Remanufactured Laser Toner Cartridges?

Our business talks to prospects on a daily basis and a lot of them have doubts in their mind concerning the quality of Remanufactured Laser Toner Cartridges. First let us define a Remanufactured laser Toner Cartridge, it is a product made from an empty Original Manufacturer Cartridge that was never filled before and is inspected both visually and electrically. Components are replaced and the empty toner is filled with a toner powder with similar characteristics as the original product. There are some businesses that may have a slightly different definition, since they allow the reuse of the same cartridge multiple times. It is a proven notion in the industry that a Toner should only be remanufactured once, leading to a much smaller ratio of failure. 

Here are some questions/statements we frequently listen to from our prospects

·        My Equipment Manufacturer serviceman told me that remanufactured laser toner cartridges leak.

The list of questions is certainly much larger but in benefit of brevity we will restrain to the five points about

The first three points could easily be covered if you hold back from buying a remanufactured laser toner cartridges that is not ISO 9001 certified.

Why such a requirement? The ISO seal represents that the certified company adheres to the stringent standards defined by the ISO Organization (check here for details http://www.iso.org/iso/about.htm). In summary, not only do those companies control their quality very close but they also follow pre-defined steps to achieve:

·        Employee and supplier accountability

·        Page yielding

·        Ratio of failure

·        Perfect customer support & honorable reputation

So this companies become the front runners of the pack and they support and implement higher pay and better perks, leading to very little employee turnover and great quality. To maintain the ISO registered seal these companies are inspected yearly by the ISO organization. Some of these companies have failure ratio of less than 1% and only 15% of companies doing business in the carry that seal because it is time consuming, expensive and painful! You need dedicated staff to do that! Those companies use the best components for example Mitsubishi drums, Static Control components and etc. Certainly there are companies that do not have that seal and still have a good product, but it is like picking a nail in a hay stack. The choice is yours, if you found one keep it, but you need to be in the safe side and avoid what is not ISO certified. Many companies have created a bad reputation for remanufactured toners, they did not become an ISO registered manufacturer and little they care about quality, so the bad quality made the above perception a reality to a lot of people. There are many companies selling goods made abroad, products made in places were standards are not obeyed and not even known.

In relation to a Remanufactured product damaging your equipment, it certainly depends on what one understands by damage. Your equipment has movable parts and any cartridge breaking in pieces could potentially cause mechanical damage. Some brand unit may be potentially more prone them others. That damage is not only restricted to remanufactured laser toner cartridges but could also be caused by an Original Cartridge. Most cartridge breakages occur during transportation and once it passes unnoticed by the user nobody knows what the consequences are. If you have followed all normal standard procedures for installation and you experience: a strange noise, see a bad printout after a couple of pages or see heavy flow of toner almost like mud, smears, the common sense says: “Remove the cartridge and get a replacement”. 

Could you imagine a car manufacturer telling you that you need to service your car at their dealership network or only use a certain brand of gas, tire, spark plugs and etc... This is exactly what they are doing to you.

Hui, hui welch ein teueres Vergnügen. Ich ärgere mich ja schon seit längerem mit Bewerbungen etc. rum. Meine Mutter hielt mein Bewerbungsbild nicht für stimmig, also vereinbarte sie einen Termin bei einer empfohlenen Fotographin. Ich wurde mit Puder geschminkt und in unbequeme Lagen angewiesen. Es wurden 2 Bilder mit Photoshop bearbeitet auf CD gebrannt. Und das ganze hat 68 € gekostet. Aua!

Und ein neuer Drucker musste für Bewerbungszwecke her. Bei Media Markt fand ich mein Traumstück. Doch zu teuer (129 €). Also sagte ich dem lieben Herren, dass es das Produkt aber bei Amazon.de 35 € billiger gibt. Ausrede: 'Jaaa die haben ja auch kein Fachpersonal, dass Sie berät. Die haben ja nur 2 Leute fürs Lager die die Sachen zusammenpacken und versenden....' Zwei Lügen auf einmal! Media Markt hat kein Fachpersonal und Amazon.de ist denk ich auch ein etwas größerer Schuppen. Schlussendlich hab ich ihn dann für 99 € bekomm. YAY! Knorkes Teil, oder? Ein HP C 5280.

Despite not being very "idol-like", I love Hitomi! Since her debut she has always been boyish, whether because she was pressured into that character or it cam naturally, I don't know. But I do know that the character she does seem to have charms me to a maximum point.
People who are just starting to take an interest in H!P, or don't know very much about the organization probably wouldn't know how amazing Yoshizawa was in her Hello!Morning skits. Those skits are mainly what has made me such a big fan of hers.
Yoshizawa is the king of crazy characters and man characters. She knows how to pull her face into just the right expressions to make us go "What the F**k?! LOLOLOZ".
My favorite character of hers was Ganko Ittetsu, who I couldn't find a picture of, so I can't link it.
Yoshizawa is also insanely beautiful, with some of the largest eyes in H!P. A more feminine look than what she has really wouldn't suit her, so while I usually dislike idols (or women in general) who aren't very feminine, I wouldn't like it if Yoshizawa was any more feminine than she already is. The kind of tomboy-ish look really works for her.
Her voice isn't my favorite, but it can bring something different to song sung by high pitched, similar sounding girls.
Oh, and although Yoshizawa and Michishige couldn't be more different people, they both have a peculiar amount of moles/freckles/"beauty marks" on their faces. So in that way, they remind me of each other when I see them.
Now, to some of her skits. These are pretty much classic things that most H!P or Hitomi fans have seen, but it was hard to find a nice, subbed, long Yoshizawa skit:

Saat berada di bioskop ada baiknya aktifkan fitur getarnya saja, namun saat berada di tempat publik seperti mall, stasiun dan bandara, mengaktifkan ringtone bisa menjadi pilihan yang lebih baik.5. Kurangi brightness layar ponsel Anda hingga 50 persen agar energi baterai yang terpakai lebih hemat.
6. Matikan Bluetooth jika tak digunakan. Untuk diketahui saja, Bluetooth yang aktif akan menguras energi baterai ponsel lebih cepat.
7. Sama halnya seperti Bluetooth, matikan juga fitur infrared jika tak digunakan.
8. Matikan aplikasi-aplikasi lain yang tidak digunakan.
9. Letakkan ponsel di tempat yang temperaturnya normal sehingga tidak terjadi kerusakan akibat suhu yang terlalu tinggi atau rendah. Misalnya, jangan letakkan ponsel di dalam mobil yang terjemur matahari, di atas laptop atau konsol game yang suhunya panas.
10. Segera cabut charger dari ponsel jika baterai ponsel sudah penuh.
11. Caslah baterai sampai penuh dan segera isi ulang baterai Anda jika memang sudah habis.
12. Kalau ingin baterai tahan lama, jangan sering-sering bermain game lewat ponsel, mendengarkan mp3, melakukan panggilan video (video call), mengedit foto ataupun browsing. Semua aktivitas tersebut hanya akan mempercepat baterai Anda habis.
13. Atur settingan backlight, jangan biarkan durasi nyalanya terlalu lama, cukup 5 sampai 15 detik saja.

Miami-based Psystar, owned by Rudy Pedraza, will sue Apple under two federal laws designed to discourage monopolies and cartels, the Sherman Antitrust Act and the Clayton Antitrust Act, saying Apple's tying of the Mac OS to Apple-labeled hardware is "an anticompetitive restrain of trade," according to attorney Colby Springer of antitrust specialists Carr & Ferrell. Psystar is requesting that the court find Apple's EULA void, and is asking for unspecified damages.

Psystar's attorneys are calling Apple's allegations of Psystar's copyright infringement "misinformed and mischaracterized." Psystar argues that its OpenComputer product is shipped with a fully licensed, unmodified copy of Mac OS X, and that the company has simply "leveraged open source-licensed code including Apple's OS" to enable a PC to run the Mac operating system.

Pedraza says he wants to make Apple's Mac OS "more accessible" by offering it on less expensive hardware than Apple.

Apple filed a copyright infringement suit against Apple in July, charging the company with illegally selling copies of its Leopard operating system on third-party, generic PC hardware. Apple's end-user licensing agreement specifically forbids installing its OS on non-Apple hardware. Psystar now claims that the license terms violate U.S. antitrust laws.

For its defense and countersuit, Psystar has retained the high-profile Silicon Valley law firm Carr & Ferrell. The firm has previously tangled with Apple--and won. Partner Robert Yorio in 2007 extracted a $10 million settlement from Apple for Burst.com, which claimed Apple violated its streaming media patents. Yorio also helped negotiate a similar, $60 million settlement from Microsoft on behalf of Burst.com.

Apple versus Psystar is a high stakes case--and not just for the parties involved. If Psystar prevails, it could open the door for other PC makers, including major vendors like Dell and HP, to offer Mac clones. Such a development could undermine Apple's main business model--which relies on Apple's perceived right to dictate which software products can run on its hardware.

Psystar claims its Mac clones cost about one-quarter to half of what Apple branded systems sell for. In defense of its clones, the company charges that Apple marks up the cost of the hardware on which its operating systems ride by as much as 80%.

Un último informe reveló que Linux tiene en su "poder" el 13.4 % del mercado de Servidores -aunque no así el de desktops :P - Teniendo en cuenta que el año pasado (2007) Linux tenia el 9.4 % de cuota, hoy vemos el crecimiento acelerado que ha tenido en este sector fué de 6.4 %, que dió un total de 13.900 millones de dolares (O.o)

Las empresas "top" vendedoras de servidores Linux y , a su vez, las que contribuyen a este crecimiento son IBM, vendió tantos servers :P que ganó : 4.633 millones de dólares y HP que facturó nada más ni nada menos que : 3.823 millones de dólares.

Realmente es una buena noticia. Al menos el mercado está bastante  "equitativo"
