I wanna drift! I wanna drift! I wanna drift!

I always wanted to learn how to drift (watch the trailer and you’ll know why). In fact, I just learned how to drift in the Daytona USA 1 arcade game. A friend of mine taught me after losing several races to him. It’s quite easy; the secret is to know the map, you must know when to drift and when to just turn. In Daytona USA 1, the best map to practice drifting is the advanced map, then select manual transmission. When you’re about to turn shift to gear number 1 and turn the steering wheel towards the direction you want to turn. When you turn to that direction shift to 3^rd gear then to 4^th gear. Easy right?

But this post isn’t about drifting. It’s about KL drift. Ironically, KL drift reminds me more of Lord of the rings rather than Tokyo drift. No, the lead character isn’t a small hobbit and neither does he look anything close to Elijah Wood. The supporting character isn’t a fat hobbit either. He is actually a thin tall guy. The similarity lies in the story. The drifting part is actually just sugar coats to the story. I don’t want to be a spoiler but I’ll guess ill tell the story anyway (hey, you can chose not to read this blog entry yet, if your planning to watch the movie). The lead character in the story is guy named Zack, he wanted the drug syndicates to stop selling drugs in his town so he challenged the drug leader to a race around the city. If Zack loses, he gives up his car, but if he wins, the drug leader and his gang leaves town. But there is another parallel story happening. There is a conflict between Zack and his best friend Sham. Sham really likes Zack’s ex-girlfriend and she likes him too, but since Zack isn’t cool about it, Sham tried to push her away. Zack hated Sham because he thought that they were dating, but in reality Sham was really loyal friend. Even though Zack already beaten up and pushed Sham away many times, Sham would always be there for Zack when he needed him. There was even this one time when Sham risked his life to rescued Zack from being killed by the syndicates. During the last part of the scene, Zack won the race but the drug leader didn’t keep his promise. Instead he made Zack’s life so miserable; he killed one of Zack’s friends. At the very last part, the drug leader wanted to run over Zack with a speeding sports car, but Sham traded his life for Zack by pushing him out of the way. Until now I still don’t know if Sham is alive as the last scene ended with Sham in comma after being hit by a car.

Told you it was like Frodo and S(h)am, Frodo was a ring bearer tasked to destroy the ring in mount Mordor. Frodo had a faithful friend which is Sam, who even though he was pushed away many times and falsely accused, still remained loyal to him, even to the point of risking his own life to save Frodo.

It's a huge opportunity for me, that i can feature this very special nissan skyline on my blog.
When i registered me on the gtroc board, this was the first skyline i saw there. I loved it at first sight. At this time the car belongs to dave. He bought this bayside blue nissan skyline r34 gtr vspec a few years back. Then he started the project with a well known tuning company called top secret. They stripped the car down and sprayed the bare shell in a special color version of midnight purple III. The blue base coat gave the car this special effect look.

A t04z turbo charger compress the air in the n1 engine built with a hks step III 2.8l kit. Dave looked at all details. He let top secret build an engine from hell, but this was not enough for him. He optimised the exterioer style in a very harmonic way like no other. All parts in the car are changed or he brought they to perfection.

youtubeで色々と探してたら下のクリップを発見しました。東京ドリフトならぬ、北京ドリフト。ストーリーをまとめるとこんな感じ。チューニングされたＺ３３が妊婦をドリフトで救う。ウケるこの設定ｗ。ってかあんなドリフトばっかしてたら横Ｇで赤ちゃん出ちゃうってば（笑ｗ。でもまぁ、面白いよ。お楽しみに :)

I also talked with the people at Betson about finding a way to add a keypad to my Tokyo Drift's. Since I got Crusin' USA cabinets that don't have that feature, I'd like to find a way to add it to the cabinets so players can keep track of their cars. I don't have anything figured out yet but I'm going to be looking into it further. They also had a few cabinets with an LCD screen in the cabinet, which looked pretty nice. I noticed more LCD stuff at the show and I am thinking of getting one or two, if I can afford it.

I remembered enough to know that it was a thoroughly deep and thought provoking book that dealt with all manner topics none of which were really covered very well in the film. Its troubled production showed through in the final edit, the director was after a sci-fi action thriller but anyone who has read the book would tell you that the action was few and far between so it begs the question, maybe Babylon Babies should never of made it to the big screen after all?

Still, its not a bad romp through post apocalyptic Earth with the 'package' and a kung fu kicking nun in the shape of the wonderful Michelle Yeoh, a highly polished cast with just a piss poor screenplay and a director who pans his own film prior to its European release before buggering off to the Caribbean to escape the critcism!

Still, onto better Diesel news and the film I have been looking forward to seeing when its released next year and thats the 4th film in the franchise of 'Fast And The Furious' - theyve dropped the 'The' apparently - teaming Diesel with Paul Walker and its a sort of prequel to FATF 2 and Tokyo Drift.

Its the film that FATF 2 should have been in the first place but instead we got Walker fannying around the east coast of America as the boy wonder. The new film will bring back some old faces, Jordana Brewster playing Dominic Torretto's sister, Mia and Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, release date has been pencilled in as a worldwide release of June 5th 2009.

When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel.

What's out? The new Fast & Furious Trailer! Excuse the bro moment but that was the pent up excitement of Alexander Worthington iii telling me that the new import rice rocket action flick trailer has just been released. Before you start to judge, our favorite pastime is quoting these movies in all its ridiculousness. You can't knock us for anticipating a movie that will inevitably become a treasure chest of inside jokes. If you're a true connoisseur of The Fast and The Furious, you would notice that each Fast and Furious movie was better, plot-wise, than the last. Hopefully this movie will follow the same pattern and outdo itself. This time they took parts of the old that worked with other parts of the old that worked. For example, the 4th installment of Fast & Furious brings together the original cast from The Fast & The Furious (Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez) and the director of The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Justin Lin, who also directed a personal favorite of mine, Better Luck Tomorrow. The writers have set this movie to take place between the 2nd and 3rd movie (Lion King 1 1/2 style!) We should expect to see fan favorite, Han from Tokyo Drift, alive and kicking in this one. And then they added a cherry on top. Included in the line-up is a cameo from Lil Wayne! If you think about it, this movie has all the elements of a terribly great movie!

While doing press for his new sci-fi/action movie Babylon A.D., actor Vin Diesel told NBC's Seth Goldman that  Fast & Furious, the fourth movie in the fast car franchise, will actually take place before 2 Fast 2 Furious, making it the second entry in the series, chronologically speaking.

In related news, the movie, which is directed by The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift helmer Justin Lin and features the first movie's quartet of stars (Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster), had its trailer premiere last week, and it looks to be quite a fun ride. At any rate it surely seems to be a whole lot better than 2006's Tokyo Drift, the only Fast And Furious movie I've seen. Also, the fact that the awesomely hot Jordana Brewster is back pretty much guarantees awesomeness. Well, enough about me, what do you think?

Dominic Toretto está de volta e agora tem trailer pra deixar a gente mais feliz. A quarta parte da franquia Velozes e Furiosos, com promessa pra estrear em Junho de 2009, ganhou seu trailer oficial. Nele podemos ver muita ação, carros velozes, mulheres lindas, e o elenco que ajudou no sucesso do primeiro filme.

Este novo episódio se passa no México e em Los Angeles, onde Toretto (Vin Diesel) irá reencontrar o agente Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), e, juntos, enfrentarão um novo inimigo. Confesso que essa sinopse não é muito surpreendente. O que dá a entender é que essa história se passa entre o segundo e o terceiro filme. E se você acha que a única ligação de Velozes e Furiosos - Tokyo Drift, com o resto da franquia, é a presença de Toretto no final, saiba que o diretor dos dois filmes também é o mesmo. Justin Lin.

Outro fato importante é um curta metragem, de 20 minutos, que será dirigido por Vin Diesel. Nele, será explicada a relação de Dominc com o personagem Han, o tutor japonês do garoto Sean Boswell (o gaijin), de Tokyo Drift. Só não está certo se o curta vai passar antes ou depois do filme no cinema, ou mesmo se vai ser deixado apenas pro DVD. Bom, enquanto essas dúvidas não são tiradas, curta o trailer que já está bem eletrizante.

Hehhehehehe. Papo. Eu sei que esse jogo é um fiasco. E ainda bem que não somos só nós que sabemos disso. Os próprios diretores da EA Games tiveram essa noção e prepararam um novo jogo com tudo o que o Pro Street não tinha. Incluindo a polícia.

E põe polícia nisso. O novo Need For Speed Undercover traz praticamente só policiais te perseguindo. Isso porque a fórmula consagrada do NFS foi levemente alterada. Nada mais de só correr com "os canas" aparecendo eventualmente no jogo. O objetivo agora é se infiltrar em um grupo mafioso internacional. Tem bandido e polícia pra todo lado. Sinto desafios bem maiores nessa nova versão.

Outras novidades são um novo mecanismo do jogo, chamado "Heroic Driving Engine", que vai permitir grandes manobras a mais de 300 km/h, e uma inteligência artificial muito maior dos oponentes. O pessoal vai querer te comer no espeto mesmo.

Anyways here is Drift, which came out in 2007. I had to go with the kit as opposed to the dedicated version due to budget constraints but I have to say that it was easy to install and it has been worth it. There still are some little things I need to fix on the Crusin' cabs I have, such as the left seat which constantly shifts back and forth with the slightest force applied to it. But it has been a solid game at my arcade with consistent earnings despite the minor things. Here's the video below, like usual recorded in HD but downgraded to youtube quality.

Far East Movement has collaborated again with Wong Fu Productions to bring you the new video for their single "Dance Like Michael Jackson".

The video features Quest Dance Crew and the eagle eyed viewer should also spot Brian Tee of F&F: Tokyo Drift fame, and Amber Nimedez, one of the actresses from Wong Fu's feature film "A Moment with You".

So the production values are very good, but still not quite as polished as pro. It's awesome to see how far Wong Fu has come since senorita back in their college days. The video is pretty entertaining but nothing ground breaking. Brian Tee's cameo is for comedic purposes. Amber plays the video vixen, looking great as always. Quest Dance Crew shows off some fairly impressive moves and mixes things up in the video a bit. The end is pretty entertaining catching everyone goofing off, throwing the requisite FM hand sign.

The song itself is not one of FM's strongest but it's still pretty catchy. They know how to make a song stick in your head. Their album "Animal" is dropping this fall.

Overall, solid and pretty entertaining but not fantastic.

What About Now - Daughtry

Everything that made Chris Daughtry insufferable as a contestant on American Idol -- his utter lack of humor, his oppressive earnestness, his desire to sing every song in the same gut-wrenching fashion, a style that only suited the post-grunge brooding that is his chosen specialty -- work for him on his post-Idol debut album, Daughtry. Technically, this is not a solo album, it's the debut of a band called Daughtry, which is actually spelled all in capital letters, which could be seen as a sign that Chris Daughtry might have a bit of a credibility complex. It certainly seems as if he thinks he'll only be taken seriously as part of a band that, like lots of bands from the grunge revolution, is spelled in a specific, exacting way, even if it means that by the rules of the internet he is, quite literally, shouting at us -- which is only appropriate for a singer who is fueled by Fuel and lives by Live. And, let's face facts, DAUGHTRY was formed by Daughtry not only after his run on American Idol, but after he recorded this debut album: the band is for show, to prove that he's the real deal, baby, not some pansy TV singer. It's a posture that's not only just a teeny bit defensive, but one that's utterly unnecessary because the album DAUGHTRY is actually very good, whether it's judged by the standards of American Idol or by the standards of Fuel or Nickelback.

Compared to Fuel -- the band that invited Daughtry to be their frontman after he was voted off Idol -- Daughtry has a lighter touch not just in his delivery but also in his songs, which are far hookier than most post-grunge; and if he's compared to Nickelback, he's a far more appealing frontman than that lunkhead Chad Kroeger, with a greater vocal range and far more sensitivity in his singing. Daughtry's way with a hook and empathetic emoting are placed far up in the unapologetically professional mix on DAUGHTRY, which is designed to cross over not to the pop market -- everybody involved knew that DAUGHTRY had that anyway thanks to Daughtry's TV celebrity -- but to the rock market, so everybody involved made sure not to temper the guitars with layers of synths or even to indulge in too many power ballads.

The resulting album may play strictly by the rules of mainstream post-grunge and it may never achieve the sweat and grit that real rock bands do even after they've been cleaned up in the studio, but it follows the modern rock blueprint exceedingly well, creating drama even in its pedestrian moments. It also helps that the songs are sturdier than most post-grunge, with big, anthemic hooks on the choruses and verses that are lively enough not to bore. In short, it sounds like the work of a bunch of professionals, which is true to a certain extent: it was produced by Howard Benson, best-known for LPs by My Chemical Romance and All-American Rejects, but Benson and DAUGHTRY didn't draft in a bunch of pros to write the songs -- each tune bears a writing credit by Daughtry, and most of them are solo credits.

Listening to these songs, it would be easy to mistake them for the work of seasoned pros: they not only follow the template of post-grunge well, they do it with better hooks and a commercial flair lacking from bands like Fuel and Shinedown, bands that have inspired Daughtry but who he betters here. To put it mildly, that's a surprise -- not just that Daughtry pulled off the tricky move of being pop enough for his Idol fans and rock enough for post-grungers, but that he pulled it off on the strength of his own work. While he hasn't shaken off all the problems that plagued him on the show -- he still could learn that a sense of humor helps add depth to his music, or at least he could realize that rock & roll should be fun at least some of the time -- but he's made those qualities work on a debut that's not only a lot more credible than any American Idol-affiliated rock album should be, but it's a lot easier to digest than most of its ilk. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

We flew out to LA and had wanted to treat him to lunch at some swanky Japanese restaurant but it ended up him inviting us to his own restaurant, Saketini, in Brentwood. It was pretty immediate that we knew we were speaking with the right person to represent the brand. We shared with him our history: our beginnings in Asia, how the brand has since traveled to over 30 countries and our vision for the US market. We discussed our brand philosophy driven by family values and how we wanted to transcend the realm of mere shoes but to extend the brand to other aspects of culture and global consciousness. We left lunch feeling not only extremely satisfied and full (his food, by the way, is exquisite) but also feeling great about the partnership. It felt like he had already become one of the Jump family. We had some great ideas on the table and from there we knew it would only burgeon into something bigger.

Man, did he feed us. We must've gone through like 10 courses.

After our return to New York, we began brainstorming. I soon discovered that contrary to what you might think of most actors, Sung could do a lot more than just act. I suppose the fact that he owned a restaurant and built his own original menu was already a testament to that. He'd become our Hollywood ambassador, wearing our shoes in all his films including Fast and Furious 4 directed by Justin Lin, the prequel to Tokyo Drift that tells the story of Han and Dom, played by Vin Diesel also starring Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster. In Berlin, he introduced the Wachowski Brothers (Matrix) and Rain to Jump while shooting Ninja Assassin.

But one of the things that impressed me the most was that he owned a high degree of innate creativity and self-awareness of his talents and was able to tap into it to help us formulate some really great ideas; things we would've never come up with!

Internally, we had developed a dossier to help us categorize our wide breadth of product. We decided that in order to make this palatable and understandable both internally and for our customers, we should categorize it. We decided that the best way to do it was to create a character or a persona for each category, then write a story about each one. Here's what one very creative weekend yielded us.

We had a great time writing these. We wanted to make each of these characters cool but hilarious at the same time. Who would you identify with?

With these characters and Sung's talents as an actor, we now had the tools to create some really cool stuff. But what? We began throwing ideas back and forth and came up with two really good ones. The first would be a series of short films produced by Arowana Films starring Sung playing each of the characters we'd come up with. The next would involve traveling half way around the world to Taiwan to work with my old friend Jeff Wang, owner of the creative agency, Blanq to create a collection pieces that would serve as our premier brand campaign. The stage was set for a host of exciting developments. Stay tuned.

Etter en rekke mislykkede bil stunts i USA må Sean (Lucas black) flytte til sin far i Japan, en far man fort ser han ikke har noe godt forhold til. Sean finner fort sine åndsfrender her også, i form av noen drift avhengige ungdommer med biler som antagelig koster mer enn leiligheten du bor i. De kjører rundt i sine stilige og blodtrimmede biler for å vinne heder og ære, på veien dit bryter de nok også samtlige loven som finnes i japansk veitrafikklov.

Man skjønner fort hvilket publikum denne filmen er laget for. Filmen inneholder utallige smellvakre damer i minimale klesplagg, noen kjekke unge gutter og mange fete biler. Filmen har en heller dårlig handling, en handling man uten store vanske kan forutse mens man ser filmen. Dette er uten tvil en ren underholdnings film for tenåringer som selv ikke er gamle nok til å kjøre bil, men gamle nok til å glo på sexy damer og søte gutter.

Star Wars...Otherwise Known As The Holy Sextilogy

While plenty of sequels score big at the box office, most sequels are noted for being lauded by the press despite being virtually unseen at the theater. It's often thought that the quality of a series improves with each successive film. The shining example of this is the Star Wars Sextilogy. The majority of that franchise's fans will heartily agree that films four, five and six are the best of the bunch.

The first sequel to raise a big box office stink despite being hailed by Time Magazine's Richard Corliss as "The Best Movie I've Ever Seen" was 1942's Casablanca 2: Play It Again. That trend was followed dutifully by masterpieces such as Missing in Action 2: The Beginning and Driving Miss Daisy 2: Tokyo Drift. While both failed to cover production expenses, the former featured an Oscar®-nominated turn by Chuck Norris as Colonel James J. Braddock, whereas the latter took home a best director nod for McG.

"I'm Tryin' To Drift You To The Sto' "

This summer sequels are all the rage. With the recent release of sequels like Rocky Balboa, Rambo, Over the Top II, and Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skulls, film fans and critics alike are being shepherded to multiplexes to catch all of the exciting potentially award-winning fanfare. Tantamount Pictures has even decided to capitalize on this friendly trend with the release of the first sequel without an original film, Explosive Intimidation II, featuring the return of Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme. However, don't expect these films to rake in the dough. Film isn't about making money, it's about making art...and seeing as making art is a totally pretentious practice, we hereby deem the art of the sequel trendlier than ever.

Il est arrivé comme ça à l'improviste, le HD-DVD de "The Fast And The Furious : Tokyo Drift". Dernier ressortissant de ma commande massive chez Amazon.fr (il ne reste plus que trois jours pour profiter de l'offre 1 HD-DVD acheté = 1 HD-DVD offert), ce film m'avait laissé un souvenir plaisant lors de son "visionnage" en divx alors pour 9€99 j'ai craqué hein ;-)

To start, the movie is unashamedly a tribute of sorts to FATF: Tokyo Drift, and it's not just my opinion, even the director of the movie has been quoted as saying that himself. It was a wholly-locally produced event with a budget of RM2,000,000 (about $630,000 USD), which is quite high-end for a local production.

If you haven't seen the movie just yet there may be a few spoilers in this post, so if you don't want me to ruin the movie for you, cease reading here.

The movie centers around two friends, one a driver of the film's hero R34 (Zack), the other piloting an S13 (Sham). There is also a hot chick played by the delightful Fasha Sandha, who at the beginning of the film is Zack's love interest, but later ends up leaving him and having a crush-fling-thing with Sham, which of course causes all kinds of shit between the boys.

Theere is also a drug-dealing bad dude in the movie who ends up racing one of the guys at the end for honour or whatever...the kinda creepy thing was that in the movie he had what appeared to be a large swastika tattooed on his chest. And I know buddhism is big in this part of the world and I'm aware there is a buddhist symbol almost identical to the swastika except its prongs rotate anti-clockwise insetead of clockwise, but this guy was definitely sporting a swastika. So he's an Asian white supremacist I guess.

So basically as far as the story is concerned, there's some drama and all that, but I'm sure you want to know about the important stuff: The drifting.

I've got to say, as far as a lot of the driving scenes are concerned, I do respect them for what they did in this movie simply because there was not one bit of CG trickery like a lot of the scenes in Tokyo Drift. Although I doubt they'll win any stunt-driving awards, they definitely deserve credit for that. Two scenes in the movie were a blatant ripoff of the scene in Tokyo Drift where Han circles the R33 with the two females inside, so it was a bit disappointing when it comes to originality.

The cars were good, but not what I'd call great. The main cars featured were an R34 GT-T, a GT-R badge sporting R33 GTS-R, a few S13 Silvias, one FD and a quite decent widebody S15-80 which was my favourite car of the story. In all cases the cars were OK, but I have to say the tacky vinyl graphics and stickers did let them down a bit.

So was it better than Tokyo Drift, the movie which coined it? No. So was it worse? Again, I'd have to say no.

While it wasn't what you'd call a Hollywood blockbuster, it did have something simpler and more distinct which made the whole movie seem a little more believable to me. It had a few things that I'd say were an advancement over Tokyo Drift in the fact that they achieved a lot of what the higher-budget movie did with a whole less money - they both suck in different ways, but in their own ways they're also worth a watch.

So, it's a movie about turbocharged cars sliding around corners, and if you like that king of thing then it's worth a look.

Zack dan Sham adalah dua nama yang sinonim dengan istilah keakraban. Hubungan sebagai dua sahabat karib yang sama-sama berkongsi hobi dan minat dalam bidang perlumbaan kereta 'drift'.

Kelazimannya bidang perlumbaan kereta 'drift' didominasi oleh golongan maskulin tetapi ianya tidak menghalang Fasha, teman wanita Zack untuk memecahkan monopili itu dan menjadikannya sebagai satu hobi yang dikira 'daring' dan agresif.

Rentetan daripada sejarah kehidupan Fasha yang telah mengakibatkan krisis identitinya mendorong Zack lebih bersikap protektif terhadap pergaulan Fasha. Perjalanan kehidupan Fasha telah dikongkong bagi menghalangnya daripada bergaul semula dengan golongan yang pernah menjeremuskan Fasha ke lembah yang tidak sihat.

Dalam kesibukan melegakan pergolakan Zack dan Fasha, rupa-rupanya dalam diam dan tanpa disedari telah lahir bibit-bibit cinta dalam diri Sham terhadap Fasha. Namun perasan itu terpaksa diketepikan kerana tidak mahu merosakkan hubungan akrabnya dengan Zack.

Di sebalik kekalutan ini, Joe dan Karl merasa tercabar apabila kegiatan mereka dalam menjerumuskan anak-anak muda yang meminati bidang lumba kereta 'drift' ke alam yang mengkhayalkan dihalang oleh Zack dan rakan-rakannya.

Maka bagi menyelesaikan masalah yang timbul anatara Zac dan Joe mereka telah membuat keputusan untuk berlumba kereta yabg dianggap sebagai satu ekspresi bagi melepaskan keegoan masing-masing.

EVOLUSI KL DRIFT adalah paparan kehidupan remaja yang mencari hala tuju identiti membawa kepada asimilasi rasa yang berupaya menjerumuskan mereka ke dalam perubahan yang ketara.
