Happy end: Dupa ce-am ras pe saturate, i-am platit taximetristului 120 de mii, cat stiam eu ca face de la mine pana la Favorit, chiar daca aparatul lui arata 240 de mii. Cand colo, ce sa vezi? Nu toti oamenii care locuiesc in Ferentari dau teapa, cum nici taximetristii amuzanti nu sut cinstiti.

Yo que fui trabajadora (ahora estudiante de nuevo), tengo que vivir de mis ahorros, pero estas novedades que nos ofrece Amancio, son toda una tentación.

Y ¿qué es Uterqüe? Pues una nueva tienda que ofrece todo tipo de accesorios y complementos, con un estilo que recuerda a Bimba & Lola, y donde podemos encontrar bolsos, zapatos, marroquinería, bisutería y otros como pañuelos, gafas o sombreros. Imposible resistirse. El ahorro tendremos que dejarlo para otro día.

De momento ha abierto pocas tiendas, en Madrid, Barcelona y A Coruña... y el resto de provincianas... sólo nos queda esperar babeando.

Anyway, i got the chance to have a look round the summer sales a few days ago, but i just found them rather boring. Alot of the stock just seems rather blah and the prices are not that great as well. To be honest im quite bored of looking at summer clothes and i can't wait to start buying winter layers...but i guess the shops have got to get rid of their old stock first! I mean someone out there will definitely buy it!

Sales can be quite good at finding bargain basics or even future trends for the next season. So what did i find?

First up is this pretty Pastel Pink Sheer Blouse from TopShop, which i bought for the bargain price of £12. I love the colour, it's just so feminine and perfect to wear in the summer heat. An added bonus is that sheer is set to be a huge trend this F/W, so it definitely kick starts my next season wardrobe!

My second purchase were these two Shirts from Zara (the black for £6 and the white for £12). I know, i know there very boring and very basic. But sometimes basic is good, actually basic is always good! Since you just can't go wrong with a basic black or white shirt. You can wear them for work, or you can wear them casually with layers, plus tailoring is another big trend this F/W, which makes it another bargain shop!

What: Elie Tahari ruffled yellow sundress with vintage belt from Down At Lulu's. Carlos peep-toe pumps. Buttery leather clutch with green silk interior handmade by the lovely Jenna, beaded necklace also handmade by an old ya-ya friend and Oscar de la Renta sunglasses. Wanna see the necklace up close?

Confession: In these photos my hair is soaking wet and without product, the bangs twisted back into clips and the bulk twisted into a messy bun. Hangover hair. See, yesterday I spent the afternoon outdoor drinking with some friends new and old, which became indoor drinking at the Lexington, which became drinking-dancing at Cockblock until they booted us out at 2am. Much fun was had by all, but Franziskaner pitchers + Margarita pitchers + Ketel One cosmos + adorable pink cans of Sofia Coppola champs = Dirty dancing, and other things.

I don't have a picture of that outfit, which consisted of skinny blue jeans from Zara tucked into cowboy boots and a completely backless top from Glow on Lakeshore Ave., but here is the prettiest part of the top (and my new plant, because she is so clearly high fashion):

Et pourtant, depuis de nombreuses années, je collectionne les marinières rayées, que j'avais l'habitude d'acheter Au Petit Matelot, avenue de la Grande Armée à Paris. Je ne sais même pas si le magasin existe encore.

Même si depuis les films avec Fernandel, je n'ai jamais vu un marin en porter une, je trouve que c'est le vêtement intemporel par existence. Il a traversé les années avec une assurance inouïe, et même si il est incontestablement sur le devant de la scène cet été, on l'a aimé avant et on le portera encore après.

Je l'affectionne tout particulièrement dans sa version la plus simple, ici portée avec un pantalon d'homme à revers un peu oversize, large ceinture en satin, et un blouson en daim assez étroit.

Ou encore avec une veste un peu masculine finement rayée.

Mais j'avoue que j'aime bien aussi la dérider, la marinière. Et là, comme à mon habitude, quoi de mieux qu'improviser un mélange improbable d'imprimés.

this semester will be much more different than the past 2 semesters. coz, i will be working at my sis's office throughout the semester, until late september if i'm not wrong, which means i have to juggle between projects, tests and work. at the sound of it, it might seems crazy. but i'm sure i'm able to cope. work-wise is able to fill up my pockets. projects and tests are just a matter of time management and of coz productive studying. u can spend the whole day studying, but u aint productive. u can also spend a few hours studying, but u are productive. so yup. as time is lesser next semester, i will definitely have to use time in a quality manner.

as for shopping, it has already stopped. like for Zara. the last piece was actually a jockey cap? yup. from Zara. i had a $10 Marina Square voucher to use, and apparently wj asked me to spend at their food court, which i protest loudly. it HAS TO BE spent at Zara and i'm glad i did.

apart from shopping, there were other expenses too. but they shall slowly unfold. =) this leaves me with things to blog abt at random.

so much expenses. although i'm working, i still cant spend without blinking. my love for Zara has caused me a big hole in my pocket but u know, i'm not complaining. i'm actually enjoying every moment of it. i even have the intention to travel to Spain just to go Zara. that's how crazy i get but i think it will definitely be a dream come true. i really duno who else can be as crazy as me over Zara. and i really dun care whether u label me as a crazy, impulsive shopper, particularly at Zara, coz love is irrational. ha!

oh god. i just bathed and now i'm sweating again. izit me or the weather? urgh.

so yup. it's almost 2am. and i'm having a morning class tmr. more entries on shopping and food to come along in this blog. =)

Jag vill inte medicinera. Det känns inte som ett alternativ för mig. Jag vill ha något mer långvarigt än så. Inte ett piller två gånger om dagen som gör mig beroende. Jag plöjer genom nätet efter bra sidor om adhd och hur man kan få ordning på problemen utan medicinering. Jag har fått några tips jag ska prova. Men det finns en bok jag ständigt kommer tillbaka till, nämligen denna. Den är på engelska, vilket skulle innebära att jag dessutom behöver ett lexikon. Men visst sjutton gubbar låter den intressant?

Anyway, I had a blast yesterday.  I was finally able to get my eyebrow threaded over at Fix in ATC and I got a ten-minute massage which, by the way, only left me wanting for more.  Oh well, I can have that full-body, one hour massage some other time (when I don't have errands to do).

Mango is on sale, nga pala. 50%-70% off!  We headed over there to see if we can get our hands on to something unfortunately, nothing fits me anymore.  There's a boon when you lost weight too.  I have memorized my sizes already from all the shops I usually buy my clothes from so, it is such a big boo-hoo when I can't buy what I want simply because I lost weight.  To cut the long story short, I did not get to buy that shirt... shit!  Then, Kristia texted me two hours after that disappointing shopping meltdown and told me Zara (in MOA) has great sales and she got the orange shoes for Php1500!  I almost cried.  Almost... but then, I realized we're off to Glorietta and Greenbelt today so I'm praying on my lucky beads that I get the same shopping luck that Kristia had yesterday.

I had a slight fever nga pala last night.  But you know me naman, once I get to talk or text or chat with forever guy, I'm usually back to my bouncy self.  We texted for almost four hours.  Diba? Forever guy is trying to be a texter since his net connection sucks at night.  Hopefully, mapaayos niya na yun coz I know he's kinda super tamad when it comes to texting.

My previous post nga pala happened last night.  This girl... ugh!  Pathetic!  Well okay, I don't want to be mean and all... and the truth is, I'm like super proud of forever guy that he told me all about it.  As in super duper mega love love to the highest level ko siya last night.  And I wasn't even that jealous of the girl.  Just slightly irritated because duh... she knows kaya that forever guy has someone but she insisted on telling him that she likes him.  And I'm a girl din noh? I can smell flirty modes like that a mile away.  I have my bitch mode radar on.  Haay ewan... Come on, I had my share of lande moments but never to that extent!  Jeez... haay... sabi nga ni Angel, dense and cheap.  For me naman, it was funny and amusing.  Entertaining, in retrospect.  And I even told Bebeth about it since she was super sleepy last night.  Para naman mabuhayan ng dugo. Hehe!

So ayun... I want to be with him tonight na lang sana. But, he's been tired and busy these past weeks.  I want him to rest.  I was supposed to ask him to go with me to hang out at Greenbelt but ayun nga, I don't want to impose.  Haay... tough.  Maybe... basta maybe, I can do something with this fight we seem to have with time.  Stretch my limbs and drive... brave the forces!  Whatever!  I want to see him talaga. Never f*cking felt this way before.

Back to the story at hand, wish me luck ha? That I find something good to buy in Zara.  I need to splurge just a little on something.  It's like the ultimate therapy when you miss someone this much.

Zwei Sandalen, eine Entscheidung: Das schwarze Modell von Etro ist aufwendiger verarbeitet, wird weniger häufig an anderen Frauen zu sehen sein und kostet mindestens das Fünffache des Zara-Modells. Das helle Schnäppchen ist dafür besser zu kombinieren und die Farbgebung gefällt mir besser. Auch das Fußbett ist besser geformt. Ich bin wirklich ein Etro-Freund, aber diesmal entscheide ich mich für die subtile Kopie.

Anyways, I found a pair of pants in Tommy. Very light and summery! Which of course I bought. The only problem with the pants is that they are slightly loose in the waist, so I have to wear a belt with them.

Later in my shopping trip, I reached Zara, which had a sale too. I was looking around when I found this gorgeous belt that went very well with my new pants. It was perfect. But there was no price tag or anything attached to the belt. So I asked one of the staff about it. She talked to the girl behind the counter who seemed to know more. Then she came back and told me that they think the belt was part of a dress or a pair of pants that was left behind. They told me that because there was no tag on it, they couldn't scan and sell it.

And then they said:" You can take it if you want it."

I was surprized. "What? Take it? Just like that?"

They said :"Aha, ya, yes, sure!!"

So here I was, with the perfect belt in my hand, for free, and I couldn't make up my mind. I was thinking:" Is it the right thing to do? Is it their decision to give away the belt?"

I walked around the store for about 10 minutes, pretending to be looking for a cloth. But all I was thinking about was the belt.

At the end, I called my husband :"Honey, they are offering me a free belt in Zara that is perfect with my new pants. Do you think I should take it?"

"Of course. If they are giving it to you, why not?"

So, I had the approval of the authorities and I went for it. I took the belt and immidiately went out of the store., with the belt hanging in my hand.

Oh, my goodness! It felt so much like I was shoplifting.

And how good it looks on my new pants.

And why do I think that something bad is going to happen to me today, because I am wearing the perfect belt that I didn't pay for?

... yes i am 18, singaporean... and this wld be my first bowl of laksa! woots!....

and where else to have good laksa then at katong right? haha...

and who lives in the East? JUSTIN! LOL

some of my friends might know... i kinda have outgrown my current digital camera.. and i am really eying for samsung NV24HD !!

BUT WAIT! there's a catch....

i must cut my hair.... =(

my parents don't like my current hair style... and they wld only help me pay for part of the camera on the condition that i cut my hair... and NEVER have my current hair EVER...

is like... so sad lah........ i wld be losing part of my civil liberty... do u think it is worth it? hmm

oh yea... and if u think my hair pics look alright... haha.. u are probably right.. cos' my parents are complaining abt the back of my hair... haha oh well =)

o que pensa na hora de escolher roupa pra compra ou pra vestir? Olha eu normalmente passo hooooooras pra escolher uma roupa, eu sofro eu tenho que sentir o feeling do dia... que que eu tô afim! Por que apesar de eu ter um estilo tipo bem próprio e fácil, tipo eu me inspiro muito em Tim Burton, em filme, em personagens, tipo que eu gosto.. Mas poha depende muito do dia, que que eu tô..., o foda que atrapalha muito, São Paulo você tem todas as estações em um dia só né? Então vc tem que se preparar pra ttudo nessa vida! É muito difícil, mas eu sempre acabo usando o que, um coturno, uma calça ou uma mini saia, e tipo meu visual não varia muito mais além disso mas, eu gosto de camiseta tambem, as vezes eu até faço! Mas de alguma maneira eu acabo demorando uma hora pra me trocar!

marcas? Então eu sou muito fã da Zara! Por que na Zara tem umas coisas pelo preço adequado e tipo super estilosas tem umas coisas bem variadas tambem, que cabem bem em mim, por que meu pra comprar roupa é dificil! Meu número é grande sabe, as pessoas gostam de usar calças super skinny e eu odeio calça skinny. Agora que eu to pegando figurino emprestado pra MTV, eu to podendo ir pra DocDog que é um lugar que eu sempre olhava e babava e saía sem nada no bolso. Bom agora pelo menos eu posso usar no programa! haha

Premier signe : Je n'ai rien acheté pendant les soldes. Enfin, irl (in the real life) s'entend. Mais quand même. J'ai essayé, j'ai échoué, j'ai recommencé, ça n'a toujours rien donné.

Et cette petite voix qui ne m'a pas quitté durant toutes ces pérégrinations :

- "Tu es sûre, tu en as vraiment besoin de ce 90ème tee shirt loose qui pendouille et qui sera pile poil plus du tout dans la tendance, le dernier rayon de soleil envolé ?"

- "Ah oui, elle est super jolie cette tunique blanche. Mais tu crois pas qu'elle va faire double emploi avec les trois autres que tu as déjà acheté avant les soldes (et que je te rappelle tu n'as pas encore mises) ?"

- Oh, ces chaussures, sans rire, j'adore. Ah, quand même. 295 euros. Et le talon. Tu crois que tu les porteras facilement ? Non, parce que pour le prix, si tu dois les mettre uniquement pour la soirée blanche d'Eddy Barclay cet été, tu vas pas les rentabiliser. D'autant qu'Eddy, il t'a jamais invitée de son vivant, alors maintenant...

OK !!! J'ai compris. J'insiste pas.

Bon, heureusement pour le contenu de ce billet, j'avais quand même shoppé ces deux hauts sur une vente privée de la marque Soun, chez Bazar Chic. Je n'avais jamais rien acheté de cette marque, et c'est donc dans la plus grande improvisation que je me suis lancée...

Le premier est une blouse en soie à imprimés géométriques, dans les tons de violet.

L'imprimé n'étant pas vraiment évident au premier abord, j'ai voulu accentuer le côté 70's avec un pantalon blanc style Karting (je vous parle d'une marque que les moins de 20 ans, etc...) et des chaussures au coloris décalé. Une capeline, des lunettes oversize et à moi la Riviera...

• Pantalon : Joseph
• Chaussures : Zara

Le deuxième est un top en voile de coton jaune imprimé de marguerites.

Là, j'ai préféré diluer le côté naïf de l'imprimé avec un pantalon un peu masculin et des chaussures de couleur vive. Et puis, c'est vrai, j'avais super envie d'une fringue jaune (mis à part des chaussettes).

Au final, deux styles totalement différents. J'avoue une petite faiblesse pour l'un des deux.
